The Risk Assessment prompts, 'untangle' the complexities of the health and safety legal requirements into bite sized manageable templates to complete and update. It not only targets specific tasks, identifies the associated risks but advises on suggested action to take.
The templates are also directly linked to the safety regulations, negating the need to trawl though the relevant legislation before getting down to getting the actual work done to carry out all essential Risk Assessments.
I have worked in and have prior knowledge of Health and Safety, however, I have learned a lot simply by completing the pre made Risk Assessments.
There's an added bonus. The system is set up for multi staff use, so although you may wish to have one person overseeing the whole H&S system, with overall access to all department sections, you can name certain groups of people, like Heads of department, Managers, Volunteers, to have a reduced access, allowing me to delegate and they be responsible for updating their specific area.
Our club now has a computer log of what has been carried out, what needs to be in place to comply with legislation and provides an excellent paper trail that is quick to access if staff change or the history is required.
